Richard P. Fleitas, Psy.D., Founder/Director

​

Dr. Richard Fleitas is a licensed clinical psychologist in Washington, D.C., and Virginia with over 18 years of experience in psychotherapy, assessment, and consultation. He specializes in mood disorders, posttraumatic stress, and neuropsychological assessment for children, adolescents, and adults.

​

Dr. Fleitas has worked across neuropsychological private practice, medical clinics, community centers, military hospitals, and schools both locally and internationally. He is frequently sought after as an expert witness in mental health and education-related legal cases.

​

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Fleitas is at the forefront of AI integration in behavioral health. He advises organizations, clinicians, and institutions on AI-driven solutions that improve decision-making, reduce clinician workload, and enhance patient care. Over the past two years, he has focused on AI prompt engineering, best practices for AI adoption in healthcare, and the ethical application of AI in mental health.

Dr. Fleitas also collaborates with commercial and governmental institutions on risk assessment and workforce well-being, helping organizations build resilient, high-functioning teams. He is deeply interested in the intersection of technology and psychology, working to merge AI with evidence-based mental health practices.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication from Fairfield University, a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology.

Erica Featherson, Ph.D., Director of Clinical Services 

 

Erica Featherson is a Licensed Psychologist, with a PhD in Counseling Psychology who has experience in both testing and clinical work with working with individuals from the age of 3 to 63, with a particular specialty in treatment with children and adolescents. 

 

Dr. Featherson has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and young adults for over 15 years (both in and outside the school system). She has worked in and outside the school system as a therapist and evaluator providing neuropsychological and psychological evaluation and personality and risk assessments.  Her accumulation of experience has allowed her to work with and diagnose a number of mental health concerns and learning disabilities including, but not limited to: Specific Learning Disability, Autism, ODD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Developmental Disorder, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, etc.

 

In addition to her extensive assessment and therapeutic work, Dr. Featherson has vast experience presenting workshops on a variety on mental health and educational topics. She serves a clinical supervisor for a number of graduate students and psychology associates working towards licensure.
